Support

Help with focus sessions, Screen Time, and your optional NFC key.

Prelaunch support

StopDooming is not yet available on the App Store. A public support contact will be added before release.

Set up Screen Time

Open StopDooming and approve individual Screen Time access. Choose a mode, then use Apple's picker to select individual apps and websites. Expand categories to choose items within them.

Start a session

Choose Work, Sleep, or Study and tap Start. Only one session runs at a time. A manually started session outside its enabled schedule continues until you end it.

Set a schedule

In Settings, open Modes & schedules. Choose weekdays and a start and end time, then enable automation. Windows must be at least 15 minutes and enabled modes cannot overlap. Overnight schedules belong to their starting weekday.

Pair a focus key

Use a blank writable NDEF-compatible NFC sticker, such as NTAG213. Pair it from Settings. Pairing overwrites the sticker's existing NDEF content. Test scanning before enclosing or mounting the sticker, and avoid metal surfaces.

To end a session, open the app and scan the paired sticker. A wrong key or cancelled scan does not end the session. The key is a focus aid, not a security credential.

End a session without a key

Use the home screen's Force out button and confirm to end immediately. Or open Recovery in Settings and confirm a 15-minute countdown. You can cancel recovery. Its saved deadline survives relaunch; iOS callbacks can be delayed, and returning to the app also checks completion.

If blocking does not work

Check Screen Time access and your selected items. Revoking authorization removes protection. Website coverage depends on Apple's Screen Time support and the browser. Keep essential apps out of your selections.

History and privacy

Session history records elapsed duration, not time saved. Clear it in Settings > Session history. No account is required. Read the privacy policy for storage and permissions.
